How to Set Up Mail for Mac OS X (10.3)
to Send and Receive Email
Step 1:
Open Mail.
Step 2:
In the Full Name field, type your name.
In the Email Address field, type your Island Email address (e.g., yourname@islandemail.com).
In the Incoming mail server field, enter pop.islandemail.com ( If A POP Account) imap.islandemail.com ( If An IMAP Account)
Click the arrow box on the Account Type pop-up list and choose POP or IMAP.
In the User Name field, type your Island Email address (e.g., yourname@islandemail.com).
In the Password field, type your Island Email password.
In the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) field, enter mail.islandemail.com
Click the OK button.
Note: At this point, Mail will attempt to contact the mail server. If it fails, click the Continue button on the warning message that appears to continue with the set up.
Step 3:
Click the No button.
Step 4:
Click the No button.
Step 5:
From the Mail menu, choose Preferences.
Step 6:
Click the Accounts icon.
Step 7:
Click the arrow box on the Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) pop-up list and choose Add Server.
Step 8:
From the Edit menu, choose Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings.
In the Outgoing Mail Server field, enter your SMTP server info. mail.islandemail.com
Change the Server Port to 587 and check the Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) checkbox.
Click the arrow box on the Authentication pop-up list and choose Password.
In the User Name field, type your Island Email address (e.g., yourname@islandemail.com).
